There’s no sign of a family reunion planned, but U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama are distant cousins.
So says the vice president’s wife, Lynne Cheney, who said she discovered that her husband of 43 years is eighth cousins with the senator from Illinois.
The two men could hardly be more different. Cheney is an advocate for pursuing the war in Iraq to try to stabilize the country, while Obama wants to get U.S. troops out of Iraq.
Mrs. Cheney told MSNBC on Tuesday that it was “an amazing American story that one ancestor … could be responsible down the family line for lives that have taken such different and varied paths.”
The common ancestor was Mareen Devall, who the Chicago Sun-Times said was a 17th century immigrant from France.
Mrs. Cheney said she discovered the link through family research for her new book, “Blue Skies, No Fences,” about growing up in Wyoming.
Good grief, Dick! If it wasn't bad enough for your daughter is a raging dike, now your wife is calling you part black! Maybe it's time you take them on a hunting trip... if you catch my drift. I guess now we know why Barack looks so "right" in a cowboy hat.
So here we are with a new feature here on DevonLohan.com, the "Better Late Than Never Review!" In this feature I'll be looking back at a classic movie, or maybe even a game that is either A. So awesome that it deserves a review due to it being an all time classic, or B. Something that I for one reason or another missed out on, but I've FINALLY had a chance to see or play it after much recommendation. In this first edition, I'll be reviewing a movie that has been recommended for years now as a classic MUST see, but I never had the chance to catch it...until now!
n him, so he's stuck calling his new friend Tyler, who invites him to come stay with him, but randomly wants him to punch him in return....which becomes a regular thing, 2 guys fighting outside a bar, which eventually gains a crowd......yeah, a fight club is born. So far I'm seeing where this is going, the club gets popular, Tyler is owning all these new guys asses, makes sense. Pretty soon Tyler has a damn army, they're blowing shit up all over, living out all of Tyler's teachings. Norton's character doesn't like what they're doing anymore, and then, Tyler is GONE.
