As you know, in an earlier blog I am too lazy to look up, the release of Toy Story in 3D is my most anticipated movie of 2009. And now comes word that on October 2nd, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be billed as a double feature and presented in the all new Disney 3D. Take a look below for the official word from Walt Disney Studios.
Moviegoers are in for twice the fun and triple the thrills as The Walt Disney Studios prepares to debut the Disney Digital 3D(TM) versions of Disney-Pixar's beloved animated features - "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" - during a special limited engagement starting on October 2, 2009, it was announced today by Mark Zoradi, president, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Group.
This extraordinary double feature, taking the latest advances in digital 3D technology "to infinity and beyond," will play exclusively in 3D. "Toy Story," the industry's first ever computer-animated feature and the first feature released by Pixar Animation Studios in 1995, and "Toy Story 2," the critically acclaimed sequel that debuted in 1999, were both directed by Academy Award®-winning filmmaker John Lasseter. Both films have been meticulously re-rendered in 3D from the original digital files using the latest state-of-the-art technology.
Commenting on the announcement, Zoradi said, "This fantastic double feature will let moviegoers see two of their all-time favorite films from Pixar Animation Studios in a way that they've never seen them before, and all for the price of one movie ticket. John Lasseter and the animation team have truly created a spectacular 3D experience with Buzz, Woody, and all the toy characters in a whole new eye-popping dimension. We're also excited that audiences will soon see a whole new chapter when Toy Story 3 in 3D, directed by Lee Unkrich (co-director of Toy Story 2) comes to theaters on June 18, 2010."
Lasseter added, "The 'Toy Story' films and characters will always hold a very special place in our hearts and we're so excited to be bringing these first two films back for audiences to enjoy in a whole new way thanks to the latest in 3D technology. Disney Digital 3D offers lots of great new possibilities for the art of animation and we will continue to use this new technology to push the boundaries in telling our stories. With 'Toy Story 3' shaping up to be another great adventure for Buzz, Woody and the gang from Andy's room, we thought this would be the perfect way to let audiences experience the first two films all over again. To see the movies back to back will be an amazing treat as well. This is certainly nostalgic for me and reminiscent of my youth when double features were the norm."
Originally released by Walt Disney Pictures in 1995, "Toy Story" went on to receive Oscar® nominations for Original Screenplay, Original Score, and Original Song earning Lasseter a Special Achievement Award "for his inspired leadership of the Pixar 'Toy Story' Team, resulting in the first feature-length computer-animated film." Random Villains Most Anticipated Movies Of 2009
So 2008 is about to come to a close. It has been a pretty bad ass year in movies. The Dark Knight, Wall-E, Iron Man, and many more. So what does next year hold? Here is a list of my most anticipated to hit the theater and see.
10. Star Trek - May 8th
A grew up in a trekkie house. My parents and brother were huge Star Trek fans, no they didn't dress up as the characters and go to that extent, but they watched every episode of every Star Trek series religiously. I was hooked on The Original Series and The Next Generation but didn't get into the later versions of Star Trek, like Deep Space Nine and Voyager. I am a little iffy on this though, I fuckin LOVE anything Simon Pegg is involved in but I just don't see him as Scotty. But I'll be there opening day.
Plot: From director J.J. Abrams ("Mission: Impossible III," "Lost" and "Alias") and screenwriters Roberto Orci & Alex Kurtzman ("Transformers," "MI: III") comes a new vision of the greatest space adventure of all time, "Star Trek," featuring a young, new crew venturing boldly where no man has gone before.
9. Transformers; Revenge Of The Fallen - June 26th
Transformers made me feel like a kid again. As any boy in the 80's I was obsessed with Transformers, so seeing the live action feature made me all giddy inside, the debut of Optimus Prime, and the fact they kept the original voice actor around made it even better. So why is it only number 9? I fear that Steven Speilberg doesn't has as much influence on this one as he did the first one.
Plot: Not reall known because of Micahel Bay leaking false rumors, it's hard to say exactly what this is about, but heres hopin for Dinobots.
8. Crank: High Voltage - April 17th
I actually gave Crank another watch over this past weekend. I forgot exactly how awesome it was. How visually insane it was. It's almost like watching a live action video game play out. The character runs and runs, stops and picks up power ups, fights mini bosses, everything. I love it.
Plot: In this high-octane sequel, hitman Chev Chelios' (Statham) launches himself on an electrifying chase through Los Angeles in pursuit of the Chinese mobster who has stolen his nearly indestructible heart. "Crank: High Voltage" is written and directed by Neveldine/Taylor, the duo behind the 2006 hit film "Crank," and the upcoming "Game" starring Gerard Butler.
7. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince - July 17th
These movies keep getting darker and darker and more and more violent. I've enjoyed the past movies but to me, they keep getting better and better.
Plot: Voldemort is tightening his grip on both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that dangers may even lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. Together they work to find the key to unlock Voldemort's defenses and, to this end, Dumbledore recruits his old friend and colleague, the well-connected and unsuspecting bon vivant Professor Horace Slughorn, whom he believes holds crucial information. Meanwhile, the students are under attack from a very different adversary as teenage hormones rage across the ramparts. Harry finds himself more and more drawn to Ginny, but so is Dean Thomas. And Lavender Brown has decided that Ron is the one for her, only she hadn’t counted on Romilda Vane's chocolates! And then there's Hermione, simpering with jealously but determined not to show her feelings. As romance blossoms, one student remains aloof. He is determined to make his mark, albeit a dark one. Love is in the air, but tragedy lies ahead and Hogwarts may never be the same again.
6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine - May 1st
It took 4 movies, but they finally got Gambit. On top of that this actually looks better than the 3 X-Men movies, sorry but the 1st didn't do much for me, the third was horrible, and the 2nd movie was good but not as awesome as people make it out to be.
Plot: Leading up to the events of "X-Men," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.
5. Funny People - July 31st
The newest film from Judd Apatow. Unlike the numerous FROM JUDD APATOW films that have been coming out, when I mean newest I mean the newest film he is DIRECTING. After 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up, I am anxious to see what this brings, and of course, Seth Rogen is cast.
Plot: The story of a famous comedian who has a near-death experience.
4. The Wolfman - November 6th
This has a fantastic cast. And even though it is a remake, I feel it's a remake that is deserving, since the original is pretty damn old. Unlike most remakes today which are almost just a decare apart from the original. I've been a huge Benecio Del Toro fan since The Way Of The Gun, so anything he gets involved in grabs my interest.
Plot: Inspired by the classic Universal film that launched a legacy of horror, "The Wolfman" brings the myth of a cursed man back to its iconic origins. Oscar® winner Benicio Del Toro stars as Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father (Oscar® winner Anthony Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother... and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself.
Lawrence Talbot's childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. The newest Disney/Pixar film. After the amazing Wall-E I really can't wait to see what they do next. To me Pixar has yet to fail.

But he discovers all too late that his biggest nightmare has stowed away on the trip: an overly optimistic 9-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. From the Academy Award®-nominated director Pete Docter ("Monsters, Inc."), Disney•Pixar's "Up" invites you on a hilarious journey into a lost world, with the least likely duo on Earth. "Up" will be presented in Disney Digital 3-D™ in select theaters.
2. Bruno - May 15th
Sacha Baron Cohens follow up to Borat. For those that watched Da Ali G Show you know of Bruno. For those that don't I find this character to actually be funnier than Borat. Which to me, but not to many others, Borat was one of the funniest movies I had seen in theaters, ever, if not THE funniest movie I have ever seen in the theater. I think that Bruno will be even funnier than that.
Plot: Sacha Baron Cohen's gay Austrian supermodel Bruno comes to the big screen with similar hijinks and celebrity interviews as seen on "Da Ali G Show."

Yeah. A re-release is my most anticipated movie of 2009. But hey, it is TOY STORY. This marks the beginning of the countdown. Disney/Pixar will release Toy Story 2 in 3D after this, and then follow it up with the release of Toy Story 3, in 3D. Toy Story is the first movie from Disney/Pixar that launched what Pixar is today, the makers of some of the best films released. And to see Toy Story come back this time in 3-D will really be something amazing.
Plot: Disney•Pixar's "Toy Story" kicks off a Disney Digital 3-D™ "Toy Story" celebration, which includes "Toy Story 2," opening Feb. 12, 2010, and culminates in a brand new adventure starring Buzz and Woody: "Toy Story 3"—in theaters June 18, 2010.

Toy Story 3-D??!!!
Holy CRAP this is the most amazing news ever. As many know I am a HUGE Disney fan. And my favorite film being Toy Story. Well Pixar announced today that not only will Toy Story 3 be 3-D but they are re-releasing Toy Story and Toy Story 2 ALSO IN 3-D!!Toy Story will hit theaters October 2nd 2009. With Toy Story 2 coming February 12th 2010. Leading into Toy Story 3 June 18th 2010. And of course all 3 will be presented in 3-D. John Lasseter (director of the first two "Toy Story" films and chief creative officer for Disney and Pixar Animation Studios) will personally oversee the creative side of the 3-D conversions for Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Lee Unkrich (co-director Toy Story 2) is directing Toy Story 3.
Now I wanna go to Disneyland and ride Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters over and over again and try to beat my high score.

Random Villains Top 10 Favorite Movies Ever
Since my top 10 most anticipated list was a hit, I decided to go with this all new one. I present to you, Random Villains Top 10 Favorite Movies Of All Time.
Good ol Swingers. I had recently been dumped by my girlfriend of 3 years in 2000. Probably the roughest break up to date. Depressed, lonely, sad, miserable, till my friend came along and said. "Dude, watch Swingers, you will feel lots better." So I hopped in my 94 Dodge Shadow, drove down to the video store, Video Powerstore, which would later be my place of employment. Came home, threw on Swingers, sat in my chair and watched. 1 hour and 30 minutes later. I felt alot better, better than I had in months. Since then to any guy going through a break up, or just to anyone period looking to see why Vince Vaughn rules, I point them to Swingers and nobody ever regrets it.

When I was about 10 years old, my older brother came up to me one day and said. "Hey did you ever see The Evil Dead?" That sentence changed everything. That night, my mom brought home The Evil Dead. See when I was a kid, thankfully, my parents happened to own a small corner video store, which of course would later fall thanks to Blockbuster and Hollywood. So anytime I wanted to watch a movie, I just had to call her and ask her to bring it on home. So I sat in my Dads recliner, and my brother on the couch. And watched the movie that would change my life. After I saw The Evil Dead, I decided that I wanna get my friends over, and make movies right away. I showed them The Evil Dead, in which we rushed out and watched Evil Dead 2. A couple years later, Army of Darkness came out. The Evil Dead Trilogy is something I hold dear to me. Atleast once a year I watch them. On top of my TV sits an Ash figure, an Evil Dead lunchbox. Down the hallway is the Evil Dead posters. Any person on the planet would agree that The Evil Dead Trilogy is one of the greatest movie series of all time.

Army Of Darkness
When I was a kid, my mom showed me a movie called Harvey. I freakin loved Harvey, so of course, I looked for anything and everything related to it, which of course lead me to Rear Window, after I saw that, I needed anything and everything Hitchcock related to watch. And of course that brought me to Psycho. Now I had seen the Psycho house when I was a kid on many Tram Tours at universal. I knew all about the shower scene, I knew about the twist ending. But it still did not stop me from enjoying the hell out of this movie, and Mr Norman Bates. As you will probably tell from this list, horror movies are my favorite genre, a genre to me, that presently is almost extinct. Nobody does it like Hitchcock, no matter how much M. Night Shamalamaamdingdong tries to rip off.
Psycho
I love me some Disney. I love me some Pixar. And when you put the two together, wow. I saw Toy Story opening day at the theater, nothing in the world looked like it to date. I always saw Disney movies in the theaters, but this one blew my mind out of the back of my skull. This is my favorite Disney movie ever made. The one damn line in it, that always makes me laugh, is when the kids are showing up to Andys birthday party, and one of the kids brings bedsheets, and Potato head says "Who invited that kid?" It had everything I wanted in a movie, and it was a cartoon! Kinda. To this day, anytime Im feeling down, got the blues, or what have you. I throw on Toy Story, and I am as happy as I can be, it is the cure all medicine for anyone with the blues.

Good fuckin god. Halloween. Every single year, in October, it is Halloween time. I watch Halloween 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Fuck part 3 in its ass, and part 8 was the biggest piece of shit ever. So fuck that one too. I saw this when I was a kid, Jason didn't scare me, Freddy didn't scare me. Myers was the original horror slasher. He had no weakness, no fear, nothing could ever stop him. And the scariest thing was he was a person. Not some demon like Freddy, not some weird retard kid that drowned in a lake like Jason. Myers was just a fucking lunatic that killed everything. And it seemed real, it felt like if I went outside, Myers, or someone like him, could be behind any tree watching me. And the other great thing about this movie? The fucking MUSIC! No music score in any movie ever gets my blood going like this one, sure there are alot of great movie THEMES, but I am talking about the entire Halloween score. Not just the theme. Just last weekend, me, my girlfriend, and my nephews went on a trip to LA, to Disneyland, Universal, and we just had to make one more stop... to Haddonfield. We went to the street where it was filmed, saw the sidewalk, the hardware store, and Myers house! It was amazing, I wish we had more time to walk around the place, so of course I will be making a return visit. This year, Rob Zombie is sadly, remaking Halloween. I fear the worst, but hey, its Myers, and he is in a new movie. So thats that, because John Carpenters Halloween will always be king of all slasher movies.

Clerks, and Pulp Fiction. Now I said above, that The Evil Dead changed my life by making me want to make movies in my backyard with my friends, which I did for many years. But there was one epic day back in 95 that really changed things. See at my parents video store, studios would send out screeners of their movies that they were getting ready to release on video. And one day we got a box in that contained Clerks, and Pulp Fiction. So that night I went home, and watched both of these movies. After seeing them, it was then that I decided that making movies in the backyard with my friends was not gonna be enough, I wanted to make movies for the world as a career. Clerks I could indentify with mainly because I worked in the video store with my parents, so I knew where Randall was coming from with dealing with moron customers, and of course, Jay and Silent Bob were great. Pulp Fiction, I had seen nothing like it in my entire life, nothing. Of course I was only 13 at the time, so it took me about 3 viewings to really understand what the hell was going on in it. But if it were not for these two movies, I don't know what the hell I would be up to these days.

Now this is a list of my FAVORITE movies. meaning movies that changed my life, or had a major impact on me in one way or another, and they are movies that I can watch at least once a month, and never ever get tired of. But to me, Braveheart is on another list. As the greatest movie of all time. These top 3 movies are somewhat tied for first place. But Braveheart has everything anyone would ever want in a movie, love, action, comedy, drama, suspense. All of it. And of course the fact that I love me a good revenge story, and this is the mother of all revenge movies. This puts it up there.

Jimmy Stewart, my favorite actor. Alfred Hitchcock, my favorite director. Anyone that likes either of these people, and has never seen Rear Window, I urge you to watch it. This is one of the movies I show to everyone, and everyone loves it. I recently showed this to my 12 year old nephew who is now obsessed with this movie and watches it constantly. No movie in the history of all of them that I have watched, made me get up off the comfort of my chair, and seriously and literally make me sit on the edge of my chair, not blinking, holding my breath, in the last 15 minutes of the movie. This is by far, the greatest suspense movie ever made.

And finally, my absolute favorite movie of all time. A Clockwork Orange. This is the most fucked, weird, strangest, awesome, words can go on forever, movie ever made. To this day, no movie at all, is like it. Even though it is a very, very strange movie, the plot is very simple. Alex is a demented kid, breaking the law, who loves rape, ultra violence, and of course, Ludwig Van. And his droogies turn on him one night, and Alex gets locked in jail, where they are developing a treatment, and Alex gets a deal, they try their new treatment on him, and he can go a free man. The treatment makes Alex get physically sick when he tries to act violent, or gets thoughts of dirty deeds. So they release him back into the world, cured, where he ends up coming face to face with the victims of his past. In every movie I have ever shot, all my short films, there is always a tiny reference to Clockwork somewhere in them. Anyone and everyone should see this movie, especially for the brilliant ending. If you wonder what I mean by how bizarre and weird and insane this movie is, will just watch the trailer and see for yourself....

10. Swingers
Good ol Swingers. I had recently been dumped by my girlfriend of 3 years in 2000. Probably the roughest break up to date. Depressed, lonely, sad, miserable, till my friend came along and said. "Dude, watch Swingers, you will feel lots better." So I hopped in my 94 Dodge Shadow, drove down to the video store, Video Powerstore, which would later be my place of employment. Came home, threw on Swingers, sat in my chair and watched. 1 hour and 30 minutes later. I felt alot better, better than I had in months. Since then to any guy going through a break up, or just to anyone period looking to see why Vince Vaughn rules, I point them to Swingers and nobody ever regrets it.Swingers clip

When I was about 10 years old, my older brother came up to me one day and said. "Hey did you ever see The Evil Dead?" That sentence changed everything. That night, my mom brought home The Evil Dead. See when I was a kid, thankfully, my parents happened to own a small corner video store, which of course would later fall thanks to Blockbuster and Hollywood. So anytime I wanted to watch a movie, I just had to call her and ask her to bring it on home. So I sat in my Dads recliner, and my brother on the couch. And watched the movie that would change my life. After I saw The Evil Dead, I decided that I wanna get my friends over, and make movies right away. I showed them The Evil Dead, in which we rushed out and watched Evil Dead 2. A couple years later, Army of Darkness came out. The Evil Dead Trilogy is something I hold dear to me. Atleast once a year I watch them. On top of my TV sits an Ash figure, an Evil Dead lunchbox. Down the hallway is the Evil Dead posters. Any person on the planet would agree that The Evil Dead Trilogy is one of the greatest movie series of all time.Evil Dead

8. Psycho
When I was a kid, my mom showed me a movie called Harvey. I freakin loved Harvey, so of course, I looked for anything and everything related to it, which of course lead me to Rear Window, after I saw that, I needed anything and everything Hitchcock related to watch. And of course that brought me to Psycho. Now I had seen the Psycho house when I was a kid on many Tram Tours at universal. I knew all about the shower scene, I knew about the twist ending. But it still did not stop me from enjoying the hell out of this movie, and Mr Norman Bates. As you will probably tell from this list, horror movies are my favorite genre, a genre to me, that presently is almost extinct. Nobody does it like Hitchcock, no matter how much M. 7. Toy Story
I love me some Disney. I love me some Pixar. And when you put the two together, wow. I saw Toy Story opening day at the theater, nothing in the world looked like it to date. I always saw Disney movies in the theaters, but this one blew my mind out of the back of my skull. This is my favorite Disney movie ever made. The one damn line in it, that always makes me laugh, is when the kids are showing up to Andys birthday party, and one of the kids brings bedsheets, and Potato head says "Who invited that kid?" It had everything I wanted in a movie, and it was a cartoon! Kinda. To this day, anytime Im feeling down, got the blues, or what have you. I throw on Toy Story, and I am as happy as I can be, it is the cure all medicine for anyone with the blues.Toy Story
Good fuckin god. Halloween. Every single year, in October, it is Halloween time. I watch Halloween 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7. Fuck part 3 in its ass, and part 8 was the biggest piece of shit ever. So fuck that one too. I saw this when I was a kid, Jason didn't scare me, Freddy didn't scare me. Myers was the original horror slasher. He had no weakness, no fear, nothing could ever stop him. And the scariest thing was he was a person. Not some demon like Freddy, not some weird retard kid that drowned in a lake like Jason. Myers was just a fucking lunatic that killed everything. And it seemed real, it felt like if I went outside, Myers, or someone like him, could be behind any tree watching me. And the other great thing about this movie? The fucking MUSIC! No music score in any movie ever gets my blood going like this one, sure there are alot of great movie THEMES, but I am talking about the entire Halloween score. Not just the theme. Just last weekend, me, my girlfriend, and my nephews went on a trip to LA, to Disneyland, Universal, and we just had to make one more stop... to Haddonfield. We went to the street where it was filmed, saw the sidewalk, the hardware store, and Myers house! It was amazing, I wish we had more time to walk around the place, so of course I will be making a return visit. This year, Rob Zombie is sadly, remaking Halloween. I fear the worst, but hey, its Myers, and he is in a new movie. So thats that, because John Carpenters Halloween will always be king of all slasher movies.Halloween
Clerks, and Pulp Fiction. Now I said above, that The Evil Dead changed my life by making me want to make movies in my backyard with my friends, which I did for many years. But there was one epic day back in 95 that really changed things. See at my parents video store, studios would send out screeners of their movies that they were getting ready to release on video. And one day we got a box in that contained Clerks, and Pulp Fiction. So that night I went home, and watched both of these movies. After seeing them, it was then that I decided that making movies in the backyard with my friends was not gonna be enough, I wanted to make movies for the world as a career. Clerks I could indentify with mainly because I worked in the video store with my parents, so I knew where Randall was coming from with dealing with moron customers, and of course, Jay and Silent Bob were great. Pulp Fiction, I had seen nothing like it in my entire life, nothing. Of course I was only 13 at the time, so it took me about 3 viewings to really understand what the hell was going on in it. But if it were not for these two movies, I don't know what the hell I would be up to these days.

Now this is a list of my FAVORITE movies. meaning movies that changed my life, or had a major impact on me in one way or another, and they are movies that I can watch at least once a month, and never ever get tired of. But to me, Braveheart is on another list. As the greatest movie of all time. These top 3 movies are somewhat tied for first place. But Braveheart has everything anyone would ever want in a movie, love, action, comedy, drama, suspense. All of it. And of course the fact that I love me a good revenge story, and this is the mother of all revenge movies. This puts it up there.Braveheart
