As of 12:01am this morning, the Writer's Guild is on strike. This is especially bad for shows like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show....etc etc, who need daily new material written for their bits! Most scripted dramas will be fine until Janurary-February, at which point they'll be out of written episodes. Expect to see Reality shows hit the TVs in their place.
I don't see what the big deal is though. Why can't they just outsource to non guild writers? I'm sure there's tons of up and comers who'd love to make a name for themselves. Or why not tap movie writers? I'm sure there's guys out there who'd love to write sitcoms about best buddies who get turned in to vampires, right?
They are, going to non WGA members...
ReplyDeleteFucks sake Devon you need to do more reading up on the shit you write about.
Oh and theres only 1 person that turns into a vampire. So its "buddy" not "buddies", yet even more things that Devon has zero facts about but chooses to write on anyways.
