I don't give a shit what people say, Daniel Craig is the best James Bond, and so far, Casino Royale is the best Bond movie there is. The Connery Bond movies were OK, but that was it, just OK, and were actually a little on the boring side, much like the rest of them, except for the Pierce Brosnan Bond movies, they just sucked shit with the other the top CGI bullshit everywhere. Casino Royale came along and kind the living shit out of everything and was kinda like the Batman Begins of the Bond movies. It gave me what I wanted to see in a Bond movie, tons of awesome action and suspense with no CGI to be found. When a building blew up and collapsed, it was a real building. When a car almost ran over a girl and missed and flipped 678 times, it was a real car flipping 678 times, of course the girl in the road was a dummy, but shit Ill take a dummy in the road over a CGI girl in the road. And of course the opening chase scene that goes hundreds of feet up on a crane, was really filmed with the actors hundreds of feet up on a crane. Needless to say, I am really excited about the next Bond movie.

"Quantom of Solace"..

What the fuck does that even mean? Well, apparently the title is actually steeped in spy lore. Quantum of Solace is the title of a short story in For Your Eyes Only, a 1960 collection of short stories written by Bond creator, Ian Fleming. Fortunately, it seems that the plot of the short story (James attends a boring dinner party with a group of socialites he can’t stand and after making an offensive remark is told a story about the love affair between a former civil servant and a flight attendant) has been completely nixed from the film. What the hell was Fleming thinking when he wrote that?

This new adventure sees Bond (Daniel Craig) out for revenge on a mission that takes him to Austria, Italy and South America. Camille (Ukrainian-born Olga Kurylenko) leads the secret agent to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), member of a mysterious organization and a ruthless businessman, seeking to control huge natural resources.

Other short stories in the same collection have been made into other films ranging from the dreary Miami Vice-esque Timothy Dalton flop "License to Kill" (based on The Hildebrand Rarity) to Roger Moore's most serious, low-tech, and arguably second best adventure "For Your Eyes Only".

'Only' used much of its plot from the story 'Risico' - a title mentioned in conjunction with this film before. Certainly Olga's Camille character sounds similar to the Melinda Havelock character from 'Only' who was memorably played by French actress Carole Bouquet.

Meet the new Bond Girl.

They finally announced the name of the next "Bond Girl" and her name is Gemma Arterton.

The practically unknown British actress has been cast as the lead in the new Bond film, opposite Daniel Craig.

Bond 22, rumored to be titled just 007, picks up where Casino Royale left off.

Daniel Craig to remain as Bond for 4 more films.

Good news on the 007 front with things moving forward fast. Today it was confirmed that Paul Haggis has just handed in his final draft of the "Bond 22" screenplay ahead of the upcoming writer's strike.

Meanwhile MGM chairman and CEO Harry Sloan confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the studio has signed Daniel Craig to do four more "James Bond" movies after 'Royale'.

This would bring his total to five - just behind Roger Moore (7) and Sean Connery (6), but ahead of Pierce Brosnan (4), Timothy Dalton (2) and George Lazenby (1).

Theme song singers for "Bond 22" are already being talked about with the likes of "X-Factor" winner Leona Lewis and HIM frontman Ville Valo dubiously suggested by the British tabloids this week.

Finally Italy is looking to be a the site of much filming according to MI6 which says that Grand Hotel Gardone and Locanda Punta San Vigilio Hotel on the edge of Lake Garda are to be scouted shortly. The Stelvio Pass in the Italian Alps, and Matera in the Basilicata region are apparently set for shoots.
